Lopez Caro says he's sorry

In an honest statement, Juan Ramon Lopez Caro has apologised to Real Madrid supporters for failing to live up to the club's high standards during his spell in charge at the club.

In fact, Lopez Caro was on Thursday named as the new manager of Racing Santander after Real decided not to keep him on as boss beyond the end of the season.

As we know, he had been handed the reins of Los Merengues on a provisional basis in December following the sacking of Wanderley Luxemburgo and guided the Spanish team to a top-two finish in the Primera Liga.

But Real were unable to stop rivals FC Barcelona from claiming a second successive league title and had put in some soporific performances at the back end of the season.

"I want to apologise to everyone who confided in me, because I didn't perform up to par," he expressed.
